Historic Tudor Home Renovation
A 1935 Tudor in Fairway, Kansas, received the Architectural Craftsmen treatment with a kitchen remodel, bathroom remodel, and guest suite renovation. As with many historic homes, this Tudor had a lovely front living room and dining room, but at the back of the house, the kitchen was disorganized and narrow. Architectural Craftsmen created an addition at the back of the house to accommodate a working kitchen with a breakfast nook banquette, walk-in pantry, and mudroom, which connects to the new double garage with a guest suite above. Despite adding modern amenities to this historic home, it didn’t lose its distinct style language, retaining the character the original architect intended it to have.
