Discovery Process

  1. At the Discovery Meeting, we will come to your home, talk with you about what isn't working for you and listen to your solution ideas.
  2. We'll tour your home - including basement and sometimes a peek into the attic. We're looking for mechanical and structural elements that may determine additional details to consider.
  3. At this meeting, we will also talk briefly about your investment goals. It's important for all of us to be on the same page from the beginning. If you have no idea what your project will cost, we can usually give you a range.
  4. We'll take photos and make a sketch of the areas included in the project. This discovery meeting usually takes about one-and-a-half hours.
  5. We will analyze the information from our meeting and evaluate code compatibility and any municipality or HOA constraints.
  6. We will follow up to share our findings with you.
  7. If you are ready to move forward with us, we'll move into the next stage: Project Development.

Project Development

  1. We'll enter into a Design Agreement with you to begin the design process.
  2. We'll arrange a half day to come take detailed measurements of the proposed renovation area.
  3. Our design team will develop an "As-Built" plan as the basis for the new design on our architectural software.
  4. We'll develop 2-3 different designs to review with you. Many of our clients pick and choose elements from each of the designs to come up with the final concept
  5. Once the design is settled, we will arrange to meet our trade partners and suppliers at the house for a walk-through if necessary. You may also spend some time meeting with our showroom reps for cabinetry, fixtures and tile selections. With the designs in hand, they work up their scope of work and proposals for us to build the project budget.
  6. We'll get to work detailing out the Scope of Work for the entire project to present you with the Construction Proposal.
  7. Upon review of the proposal, we will work together, if needed, to adapt the Scope and Design to best meet your investment goals
  8. When all elements of the proposal are agreed upon, we will enter into a Construction Agreement with clear terms and payment draw schedule included.

Construction Phase

  1. After entering into the Construction Agreement, we will invite you to join our on-line project management tool where all our documents, photos, budget, and communications are managed.
  2. We will also develop a detailed schedule of the work to be performed. This is a dynamic tool from our on-line system to keep all parties informed as we move through production.
  3. We will develop a full set of plans for permitting purposes. Different municipalities have different requirements in the plan set that are specific to your project.
  4. We will handle the building permit process from start to finish, including all inspections.
  5. Once the permit is in hand, we'll be ready to get started.
  6. You will have a team dedicated to your project to see that everything runs smoothly. Your Certified Lead Carpenter will be your day-to-day contact and your Certified Remodeling Project Manager will make sure everything is on schedule and on budget.
  7. At the completion of your project, we move your project into the Warranty Phase. We offer a one-year warranty on materials and workmanship plus whatever product warranties apply.
  8. We love to show off our work, so we may ask your permission to photograph your project to use for marketing purposes. Something you can brag about, too!
